The Swimming Pool, Sauna and Steam Room at Uppergate Farm

All guests at Uppergate Farm are welcome to use, free of charge our outstanding pool, sauna and steam room.

The pool is a spacious 12.5 metres long and 6.5 metres wide; 1m in depth at the entrance steps, gently sloping down to 1.45m at the deep end. The pool has full climate control and has been designed for unsupervised use, with showers and a heated changing room.

The sauna and steam rooms are situated off the large relaxation area at the southerly end of the pool; both facilities are of the highest quality and incorporate top of the range Tylo equipment from Sweden.

Uppergate Farm pool is fully tiled with a sophisticated, modern filtration system that is highly effective yet uses very low levels of chlorine. The pool hall is monitored by CCTV purely for safety and security reasons and there is no lifeguard on duty – guests swim at their own risk. Children under 16 must be supervised in the pool at all times.

The pool is open from 9.15 am each morning and the last swim is at 8pm. We have developed a daily bookings system to ensure that guests have all the facilities to themselves during their mutually agreed times. The booking system has proved highly effective over the years and each cottage or group of guests is guaranteed a 75 minute slot each day, with a little flexibility and negotiation during your stay then you will be able to plan and pre-book your usage on a day by day basis. Bed and breakfast guests, at busy times, will occasionally have to share the pool facilities. You will need to book the sauna and/or steam room during your pool session if you want these to be switched on.

We ask all guest to treat the faculties with the utmost care as we want to maintain the highest standards of comfort, cleanliness and décor for your and others enjoyment.

As the pool is unsupervised we ask each guest to read carefully our terms and conditions of usage and to sign that these have been read and agreed to. A copy of these terms can be sent in advance if requested.
